Things to do in the area

Our Location

Vida Nova Kruger is situated in the private wildlife sanctuary, Marloth Park, and offers one of the most luxurious places to stay near Kruger National Park. Mpumalanga, where the parks are located, is known as “the place of the rising sun”, and is in the north-eastern point of Southern Africa. Expect some of nature’s most spectacular sunrises.

Our lodge overlooks the Crocodile River, which forms the border between Marloth and the Kruger National Park. With Crocodile Bridge Gate just 14kms from our lodge, a quick ride in our comfortable game viewing vehicle will see you inside the Kruger National Park. Our qualified and knowledgeable guides will have you captivated by everything the park has to offer, on an exclusive game drive.

Marloth Park is a 3,000 hectare wildlife conservancy, boasting its own game. You can expect to see popular African animals, such as giraffe, kudu, nyala, blue wildebeest, warthogs, impala and many more. From the relaxed environment of our lounging area, you can enjoy watching the free-roaming game. You don’t have to leave the lodge to appreciate the African wilderness. Dangerous game like rhino and lion are confined to a fenced area, and other big five animals are just across the river in the Kruger National Park.

The Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport is just 100kms from our Marloth Park holiday accommodation, and the lodge is conveniently close to the Mozambican border. Vida Nova Kruger is ideally located to continue your tour to one of our luxury villas in Machangulo Private Reserve in Mozambique, or further north in Pebane.

Vida Nova Kruger Cub Club

You can expect an action packed activities selection for our junior guests. Our passionate guides share their vast knowledge, during guided hikes or bike rides, through Marloth Park. Bucket-list birds and the Big Five

Guided Birding Tours

Our birding tours take us along Kruger and Marloth Park’s most rewarding birding routes and promise a wealth of endemic and delightful bird species. Our guests set out just after dawn, since, as the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm. Along the way, and depending on the season, you can expect to see some of the most spectacular bird species in Africa. From brightly coloured rollers and bee-eaters to charismatic hornbills and warblers. There are around 60 species of raptor alone, including any serious birder’s most prized sightings… the Verreaux’s eagle owl and the Bateleur eagle.
